There are mainly two kind wide dynamic technologies exists in the market: one fulfill wide dynamic by CCD, the other adapt Pixim DSP wide dynamic technology. But they are different: the former technology developed for a relatively long time, the latter one exists for a relatively short time and its performance is not as stable as the former one.

Super dynamic range technology is the core technology of wide dynamic. Dynamic range means the difference of the lightness and image in one image¡¯s brightest part and darkest part. Wide dynamic technology is a technology used to furthest minish the difference and conduct gain control to the two different parts, by using digital processing on the two parts. By the means of fast reaction from image senor to the scene, enhance the exposing to the dark part and reduce the exposing to the bright part. The image sensor transfer each light sign on each pixel to digital signal, enable each pixel has independent and optimization exposing time, ensure the high quality and accurate color images. We use an index to measure the dynamic range, it¡¯s ¡°times¡± or ¡°dB¡±. For general camera, it¡¯s 80 times or 48 dB, for 3rd generation wide dynamic, it should be 160 times or 54 dB. After processing with this technology, we will find that the bright part will be more soft, the dark part will be brighter and the color will be ample and hierarchy. This product adopts accurate digital frequency analysis technology.
